Welcome

I would like to introduce you to the Meanwhile Collective, we are a group of like minded mini-comic creators. We love the fact that anyone can create a mini comic. All you need is a pencil, a pen, some paper and a photocopy machine. Our goal is to get more eyes viewing our work.

At this time our members consist of

Eric Mengel - creator of Blind Mice. Eric has been working on mini-comics since the mid-90's and is a staple of the Arizona mini-comics scene. His latest book Blind Mice #9 was release on Free Comic Book Day 2009 and has a nice trade paperback collection of issues #1-7 available. Currently, Eric Is hard at work on issue #10.

dennmann - creator of Get That Chicken. Denny started working on mini-comics in the mid-90's, however he fell of the wagon in the late-90's only to resurface in 2008 better than ever. His latest book Get That Chicken #9 was released about 2 weeks ago. Currently, Denny is hard at work on his weekly Get That Chicken strip which he plans to collect every other month or so in mini-comic format.

Do you do mini comics?

Have you wanted to do mini-comics?

Would you like to become a member of the Meanwhile Collective?

Well we are looking for more members. We hope to form a very diverse group, whom all share a love for the mini-comic format. We plan to release a quarterly mini-comic anthology and hand it out for free at any location that will let us (news on our first in-store appearance will follow shortly.) The goal is to keep the book PG (PG-13 at most.) Each member will have up to 8 pages per issue available to showcase their work. We will include contact information for each member, plus a short bio. At this time we cannot pay any of our members for their work, but we can supply you with a couple of handfuls of the issue that you appear in to hand out in your local area (that's right you do not have to be from Arizona to be include as a member.)

Deadline for membership for issue #1 is June 27th. Your work must be in our hand on this date so that Meanwhile Issue #1 can be completed in time for our first in-store date. There are two ways to submit your work: 1) You can either email us clean digital copies of your work or 2) Send clean photocopies to: Meanwhile Collective, P.O. Box 41445, Phoenix, Arizona 85080. (Unless you include a S.A.S.E. your work will not be returned.)

If you have more questions please feel free to email us.

Happy Creating,
the Collective
